We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted third-party service providers where reasonably necessary to run our business, including:

These providers may only use your information to provide services to us. We may also share your information with other health practitioners involved in your care (for example, if we refer you to a dentist) with your consent, or where required or permitted by law. We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property or security.

Storage overseas

Some of our service providers store data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers protect your information to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law.

Payment information

Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers. Sonreir does not store your full card details.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes password-protected and access-restricted systems, secure cloud storage and limiting access to authorised personnel only.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

How long we keep your information

Health records are kept for as long as required by law. For adults, this is at least seven years after your last appointment. For clients under 18, records are kept until they turn 25. After this time, records are securely destroyed or de-identified.

Other information, such as product order history, is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or to meet legal and tax obligations.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can request access to the personal and health information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Please contact us by email. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. In limited circumstances permitted by law, we may decline a request and will explain why.
